A few months ago I enrolled in the Botanical Skincare course with Herbal Academy purchased the accompanying Botanical Skin Care Recipe Book with it. It’s a great starter guide to formulating your own products. Moisturized skin is a biggie for me so the first thing I looked for were lotion and butter recipes.

ingredients
- Chamomile + Calendula infused oil
- Shea Butter
- Beeswax
- Honey
- Optional, essential oil

directions for making Honey Chamomile Lotion Bars
- combine shea butter, infused oil, and beeswax in a double (an official one or a homemade “bootleg” version–which is what I did lol) and melt
- once melted, remove from heat and add honey and mix well (tip, I read somewhere that if you let the mixture cool for a few minutes before adding honey, the honey is less likely to separate (it separated in a few on mine)
- if using essential oil to scent, add them now
- pour into molds. I prefer silicone molds. allow to cool thoroughly, I’d say at least an hour
- store in a cool, dark place until you’re ready to use it , for up to a year (unless you spot mold, etc). While using it, you can just place it on a soap dish on your sink
